CIO would like to thank our sponsors, Microsoft Services and Gentrack, for their support of the event this year.

The MIS100 a half-day seminar presenting for the first time to the public the results of the 2010 MIS100 report – the annual profile of the 100 biggest ICT users in New Zealand.

Now in its 14th year, the MIS100 report is the flagship edition of CIO New Zealand magazine, revealing the current strategies and future directions of the 100 largest technology users in the country. The organisations are ranked based on screen count, financial turnover and staff numbers.

This year's seminar started with an overview by Rob O'Neill, business editor of Sunday Star Times (formerly editor of Computerworld and a senior analyst at Fairfax Business Research) of the findings of the survey. The 2010 report covered how the economic situation has affected the MIS100 organisations' budgets, ICT projects and staffing levels – and comparing the results to the 2009 survey.

At the MIS100 event, attendees heard from CIOs of the country's largest IT departments about both the evolution of enterprise IT in New Zealand and its future direction.
