Simpl Group develops software integration and connectivity solutions that allow organisations to place their customers at the centre.
Recent projects include Australia’s first national platform for electronic prescriptions, which reaches 99 percent of pharmacies and 90 percent of GPs in that country. The industry-driven initiative was built with “health connection engine” technology that was purchased by Microsoft in 2006 and was this year awarded two prestigious Microsoft NZ awards, including Software Solution of the Year.
Simpl also facilitates the discussions of eight to 10 district health boards that are part of the Health Management Systems Collaborative, a group wanting to deliver more integrated, patient-centric healthcare. The company has adapted its “connection engine” technology so that it can be used in other industries, including local government, telecommunications and utilities.
Oracle’s project portfolio management tool, Primavera, and an interactive web paging system for health workers called iBleep are also part of Simpl’s stable of software solutions.
