With operations around the globe, Rakon is headquartered in New Zealand where it was founded by the Robinson family in 1967 and publicly listed in 2006.

Offering a diverse range of products from low-cost crystals, to high-performance, high-stability products, including what is thought to be the world’s smallest and most accurate GPS oscillator, Rakon anticipates its customers’ needs.

The company is expanding manufacturing operations in New Zealand and the UK, along with its high-volume manufacturing capability in China and India, and R&D expansion in France. New network technologies such as WiMAX/WiBro and LTE offer opportunities for Rakon, and the company is seeing strong demand for Emergency and Personal Locator Beacons in Europe.
