This Chinese giant is expected to top sales of US$30 billion in 2009 and has grown rapidly to become the world’s third-largest telecommunications equipment supplier this year.

The networking vendor has been dogged by controversy in recent months, as Australian media reported it was being investigated for espionage by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation. In Europe, it teamed up with T-Mobile to produce the T-Mobile Pulse, the first Android-powered handset similar to the iPhone. Darren Greenwood
