PODCAST: Interview with VMware global CIO
This podcast features an interview with Egan by CIO Editor Divina Paredes, which took place at VMWare’s annual conference, VMworld, in San Francisco last month.
Prior to Vmware, Egan had a six-year stint at Symantec, during which he led the IT integration of 28 acquisitions. His resume includes CIO tenures at Walden International Investment, a venture capital firm, and at a computer hardware company, Sequel.
Egan provides insights on ways CIOs can tap technology, their peer networks and cross functional view of the business to transform the enterprise and their careers.
He also shares the top three steps CIOs can take when they are in the midst of a merger and acquisition.
Read more about his perspectives as a global CIO in the October/November issue of CIO New Zealand.
