Lotto courts mobile crowd
Pickup says the biggest change for the online customers is improved mobile functionality as the website is properly optimised for both Android and Apple smartphones.
“Mobile devices are becoming New Zealanders preferred way of getting online, with smartphone penetration rates now estimated at more than 40 percent of the New Zealand population. Increasingly, people are making more and more of their day-to-day retail purchases via their mobile phones,” says Pickup.
NZ Lotteries launched MyLotto.co.nz in 2008 and says it has since then given away $55 million in prizes to more than three million online winners.
Online sales of NZ Lotteries products comprise around 5 percent of all sales and there are more than 200,000 registered MyLotto users.
