Civil contracting company Fulton Hogan continues to experience growth both in New Zealand and Australia. More than 4000 of the organisation’s around 5500 ANZ employees are located in New Zealand.

With its head office based in Christchurch, Fulton Hogan has been significantly affected by the earthquake in February. As part of its maintenance contract with Christchurch City Council, Fulton Hogan has been providing emergency road services since the quake. The company’s website is updated daily since the earthquake, with new tallies of roads cleared, tonnes of silt removed, material laid, water carts deployed and more. ICT further enables this effort through the delivery of real-time status updates of Christchurch’s road network, bridges and silt removal status.
A long standing 15-year relationship with TeamTalk resulted in a partnership early this year that saw TeamTalk subsidiary CityLink
and Fulton Hogan bid to build an underground fibre-optic network in the Wellington region, as part of the government’s RBI and UFB initiatives.
Fulton Hogan has long relied on the TeamTalk mobile radio network. The radio communication platform supports more than 800 connections, processing thousands of radio jobs daily. The TeamTalk trunked mobile network allows direct voice communication from base to vehicle, vehicle to vehicle, group calling and roaming. TeamTalk provides the company with nationwide coverage through two trunked mobile radio networks, TeamTalk and FleetLink.
The organisation utilises Salesforce’s CRM solutions. Last year, Fulton Hogan joined hundreds of other Asia Pacific companies when it built a custom application on the Force.com platform, allowing it to build and run applications up to five-times faster and at about half the cost of traditional software platforms.
